Welcome to the website (the "Site") of Salepager LLC ("Company", "we", "us" and/or "our"). This Site is operated by Salepager LLC and has been created to provide information about our company and our Salepager invoicing and payment services (together with the Site, the "Services") to our visitors ("you", "your").

This Privacy Policy sets forth our policy with respect to information including personally identifiable data ("Personal Data") and other information that is collected from visitors to the Site and Services. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide and improve our invoicing and payment matching services. The types of information we collect include:

Information You Provide Directly:

  • Account information: Your name, email address, phone number, and business name when you create an account
  • Invoice data: Client names, email addresses, invoice amounts, descriptions of goods or services, and payment terms
  • Payment details: Your Zelle-registered name and associated bank information used for receiving payments
  • Communications: Any messages, feedback, or support requests you send to us

Information Collected Automatically:

  • Usage data: How you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, and actions taken
  • Device information: Browser type, operating system, IP address, and device identifiers
  • Log data: Server logs that record requests made to our Service, including timestamps and referring URLs

Information from Third Parties:

  • Bank transaction data: Transaction details retrieved through Plaid to enable payment matching (see Section 4)

Consent & Data Transfer: By voluntarily providing us with Personal Data, you are consenting to our use of it in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you provide Personal Data to the Services, you acknowledge and agree that such Personal Data may be transferred from your current location to the offices and servers of Salepager LLC and the authorized third parties referred to herein, which are located in the United States.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Provide the Service: Create and deliver invoices, match incoming Zelle payments to the correct clients and invoices, handle split payments, and generate receipts
  • Account management: Create and maintain your account, authenticate your identity, and process billing for our usage-based fees
  • Communication: Send you invoice notifications, payment confirmations, receipts, and important service updates
  • Marketing communications: From time to time, we may contact you about services we believe will be of interest to you. Every marketing communication we send will contain clear instructions permitting you to opt out of receiving future marketing communications. You may also request removal from our mailing lists at any time by contacting us
  • Improvement: Analyze usage patterns to improve our payment matching accuracy, user experience, and overall Service quality
  • Security: Detect, prevent, and address fraud, unauthorized access, and other security issues
  • Legal compliance: Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes
  • Support: Respond to your inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide customer support

If we intend to use any Personal Data in any manner that is not consistent with this Privacy Policy, you will be informed of such anticipated use prior to or at the time at which the Personal Data is collected.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Bank Account Data & Plaid

Salepager uses Plaid, Inc. to securely connect your bank account to our Service. This connection enables our automatic payment matching feature. Here is how your bank data is handled:

  • Credentials: Your bank login credentials are handled exclusively by Plaid and are never stored on Salepager servers
  • Read-only access: We access your transaction data in read-only mode. Salepager cannot initiate, modify, or reverse any transactions on your behalf
  • Transaction data: We retrieve incoming transaction details (sender name, amount, date, and memo) to match payments against outstanding invoices
  • Data minimization: We only access the transaction data necessary to provide payment matching and do not access your full account history beyond what is needed
  • Plaid's policies: Your use of Plaid is subject to Plaid's Terms of Service and Plaid's Privacy Policy

We support over 10,000 US banks and credit unions through our Plaid integration. You can disconnect your bank account at any time through your account settings.

4. Information Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We consider this information to be a vital part of our relationship with you. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: We share data with trusted third-party providers who help us operate the Service (e.g., Plaid for bank connectivity, cloud hosting providers, email delivery services). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify
  • Related companies: We may share your Personal Data with our subsidiaries and affiliates for purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy
  • Invoice recipients: When you send an invoice, the recipient will see your business name, Zelle payment details, and invoice information you have included
  • Aggregated data: We may share anonymized, aggregated user statistics with affiliates, agents, and business partners to describe our services or for other lawful purposes. This aggregate information does not identify you personally
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or when we believe in good faith that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend our rights or property, act in urgent circumstances to protect personal safety, or protect against legal liability
  • Protection of rights: We may disclose information when we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Salepager, our users, or the public
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, corporate sale, reorganization, dissolution, or similar event, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control

5. Data Security

We take the security of your information seriously and implement industry-standard measures to protect it:

  • Encryption in transit: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS/SSL protocols
  • Encryption at rest: Sensitive data stored on our servers is encrypted using AES-256 encryption
  • Access controls: Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel who need it to perform their job functions
  • Infrastructure security: Our servers are hosted on secure, SOC 2-compliant cloud infrastructure with regular security audits
  • No credential storage: Bank login credentials are handled exclusively by Plaid and never touch our servers

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to promptly addressing any security incidents.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy:

  • Account data: Retained for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except as required by law
  • Invoice and transaction records: Retained for a minimum of 7 years to comply with tax and financial record-keeping requirements
  • Bank transaction data: Transaction data used for payment matching is retained for up to 90 days after the associated invoice is marked as paid, then automatically purged
  • Usage and log data: Retained for up to 12 months for analytics and security purposes, then anonymized or deleted
  • Communications: Support correspondence is retained for up to 2 years after resolution

You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. We will process your request in accordance with applicable law.

7. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience:

  • Essential cookies: Required for the Service to function properly, including authentication and session management. These cannot be disabled
  • Analytics cookies: Help us understand how users interact with the Service so we can improve it. These collect anonymized usage data
  • Preference cookies: Remember your settings and preferences (such as language or display options) for a better experience

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not participate in cross-site tracking or behavioral advertising networks.

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. Please refer to your browser's "Help" section for information on how to receive notification when you are receiving a new cookie and how to turn cookies off. We recommend leaving cookies enabled because they allow you to take advantage of certain Service features. Please note that disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using certain features of the Service.

Non-Identifiable & Aggregated Data: When you interact with the Services, we receive and store certain non-identifiable information collected passively using various technologies. This information cannot be used to specifically identify you. We may use such information and pool it with other information to track, for example, the total number of visitors to our Site, the number of visitors to each page, and the domain names of visitors' Internet service providers. No Personal Data is used in this process.

Do Not Track: Our Site currently does not respond to "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals and operates as described in this Privacy Policy whether or not a DNT signal is received. If we change this practice in the future, we will describe how we do so in this Privacy Policy.

8. Your Rights & Choices

You can visit the Site without providing any Personal Data. If you choose not to provide any Personal Data, you may not be able to use certain Services.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction: Request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal information
  • Deletion: Request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements
  • Portability: Request a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Opt-out of marketing: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us directly
  • Disconnect bank: Remove your bank account connection at any time through your account settings

California Residents (CCPA): California customers who have provided Personal Data to Salepager may request information about our disclosure of certain categories of Personal Data to third parties for the third parties' direct marketing purposes. Within thirty (30) days of receiving such a request, we will provide a list of the categories of personal information referenced in California Civil Code Section 1798.83(e)(6) that we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes during the immediately preceding calendar year, along with the names and addresses of those third parties. This request may be made no more than once per calendar year. We reserve the right not to respond to requests submitted in ways other than as specified in this policy. Additionally, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and opt out of any sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information in Section 15. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. Third-Party Services

Our Service integrates with or links to third-party services. This Privacy Policy applies only to the Services. The Services may contain links to other websites not operated or controlled by Salepager ("Third Party Sites"). The policies and procedures described here do not apply to Third Party Sites, and links from the Services do not imply that Salepager endorses or has reviewed those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you interact with through our platform.

  • Plaid: Provides bank account connectivity. See Plaid's Privacy Policy
  • Zelle / Early Warning Services: The payment network used by your bank. Salepager is not affiliated with Zelle or Early Warning Services, LLC. Your use of Zelle is governed by your bank's terms
  • Cloud hosting: We use industry-leading cloud providers with SOC 2 compliance to host our infrastructure
  • Email delivery: We use third-party email services to send invoices, receipts, and notifications on your behalf

11. Exclusions

This Privacy Policy does not apply to any Personal Data collected by Salepager other than Personal Data collected through the Services. This Privacy Policy shall not apply to any unsolicited information you provide to Salepager through the Services or through any other means. This includes, but is not limited to, information posted to any public areas of the Services, any ideas for new products or modifications to existing products, and other unsolicited submissions (collectively, "Unsolicited Information").

All Unsolicited Information shall be deemed to be non-confidential and Salepager shall be free to reproduce, use, disclose, and distribute such Unsolicited Information to others without limitation or attribution.

12. Other Terms & Conditions

Your access to and use of the Services is subject to our Terms of Service. Please review the Terms of Service for additional terms and conditions that govern your use of the Services.

13. Changes to This Policy

The Services and our business may change from time to time. As a result, it may be necessary for Salepager to make changes to this Privacy Policy. Salepager reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time and from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Post the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date
  • Notify you via email or through a prominent notice within the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect

Please review this policy periodically, and especially before you provide any Personal Data. Your continued use of the Services after any changes or revisions to this Privacy Policy shall indicate your agreement with the terms of such revised Privacy Policy.
